Lord,
Take these moments… you do better with them than I do. Guide me to make the most of them for your sake and not my own.
Take these words… you do better with them than I do. They’re carried on life and breath that comes from you, not from me. Let me not forget that today.
Take these conversations… you do better with them than I do. I want to be quick to listen and slow to anger, though that isn’t always my way. Let Your way be my way.
Take these hands… Take these eyes…these ears… these feet… you do better with them than I do. May they unite in spirit and in purpose with those of Your Son and work only to glorify you and serve others.
Take these tasks… you do better with them than I do. With each of them, show me that you are at the center, and if you are not, give me the wisdom and courage to move on.
Take these things… you do better with them than I do. Teach me to consecrate these tools daily for your work in this world. May they bring blessing.
May all of these things bring comfort to grief, peace to troubled hearts, life to the lifeless, breath to the breathless, growth to the stagnant and light to the darkness.
Take all of these things today, Lord. Take them, bless them, break them and use them. For you will do far more with them than I.
Amen.
