“The reading of all good books is indeed like a conversation with the noblest men of past centuries who were the authors of them, nay a carefully studied conversation, in which they reveal to us none but the best of their thoughts.”
Rene Descartes
I used to pick an author every year and read as much of their writing as I could. Then my kids were born and I forgot how to read, ride a bike and tie my shoes.
I’m picking at least one of those practices up again this year.
From this day forth, I shall tie my shoes… and in between opportunities to practice that lost art, I’m looking forward to a year with C.S. Lewis.
Read. It makes you a better person. Twitter doesn’t count.
