January 10, 2016
For the first time in 2016, we opened the doors of our home again to a small community that has grown very dear to us. We started meeting together in September and every other Sunday night we have Gathered for a meal, prayer and Bible study.
We keep a prayer journal. Over these past four months different hands have written with different pens on those pages the concerns of their hearts, the struggles of their lives and even answers given to some of those in that short time. We have become a community that prays together.
It’s been pretty remarkable to spend this time with this group. We meet again in two weeks, on January 24. Consider yourself invited.
Until then, our benediction for this evening, taken from “Common Prayer – A Liturgy for Ordinary Radicals” is quite appropriate…
May the peace of the Lord Christ go with you wherever he may send you
May he guide you through the wilderness
Protect you through the storm
May he bring you home rejoicing at the wonders he has shown you
May he bring you home rejoicing once again into our doors.
