My list of “most courageous” prayers from the Bible…
- “Speak, Lord, your servant is listening.” (1 Samuel 3:10)
- “Here am I. Send me.” (Isaiah 6:8)
- “…My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me… “ (John 17:20-21)
Lord, I fail to listen on a somewhat regular basis. Grant me courage to use my ears. I fail to be present and willing from time to time. Grant me courage to obey. And I fail in unity far too often. Grant me courage not to stand alone for you, but to stand alongside all of those that you have already called and anointed.
Hear my prayer.
